Why Use Card Swipe

The advantage of utilizing card swipe is the simplicity that comes with it. In many cases, setting up a card swipe feature would require constant attention from a campus IT department making the process expensive, time consuming and full of hassles for multiple departments. OrgSync has created a process that puts fewer burdens on a campus' IT department and allows administrators to use card swipe at any event with little IT interference. Moreover, because we allow each campus the ability to have a current student roster in your umbrella, our card swipe stores a record of all events attended by students even if they aren't registered on OrgSync.

What Equipment Will I Need?

Our platform is compatible with almost every magnetic card reader and works in both wired and wireless environments. Card readers are nearly identical in functionality; they identify the information on a student's ID card, record that information to a file, and save it for the administrator to upload to a computer after an event.

OrgSync does not sell card swipe hardware stand alone, but we have a few recommendations for devices that have been tested on our system.
