Application Programming Interface

OrgSync’s API (application programming interface) provides campus IT a secure way to access data from OrgSync and pull it into other databases across campus. The API ensures the seamless integration of OrgSync by allowing existing campus systems to be automatically updated by the accurate information collected within OrgSync.

The API also allows each campus the flexibility and creativity to create new automated processes to leverage all the institutional involvement and assessment data collected from campus departments, programs, organizations and students.

To sign up for the API and gain access to the complete API documentation, please contact your campus consultant. We also include API consulting services to all campus who sign up for the API.

The API will also allow you to do the following:

Automate repetitive tasks such as report gathering and data input
Integrate OrgSync with existing campus systems
Improve reporting capabilities while leaving sensitive student data on campus
Capture quantitative student involvement data and pull into existing campus systems
Manipulate XML data for specific reporting requirements thru SSL

Examples of efficient API integrations:

Compare Active Student GPAs to Non-Active Student GPAs to run cross-organizational comparisons for state reporting
Automatically disable organizations that don’t meet the GPA or credit hour requirement.
Pull student organization activity and treasury data to issue funds based on the credentils you decide
Dissect and segment involvement data to measure assessment objectives against student learning outcomes pulled right from the student’s event data and linking to his/her co-curricular transcript
Analyze assessment data to automate evaluation of programming based on standards and scoring you decide
Pull student data from OrgSync and update campus databases such as Banner and PeopleSoft.
