OrgSync Surpasses One Million Registered Users
Online Campus Engagement Network drives student involvement across the world
Dallas, TX - April 18, 2012
OrgSync, a web-based Campus Engagement Network that connects students to organizations, programs, and departments at colleges and universities, has surpassed one million registered users and now supports more than 30,000 campus organizations.
“Our team is excited to break the one million user milestone in our short five-year history and we are proud to support students who are getting involved and becoming more active in their communities,” said Eric Fortenberry, CEO & President of OrgSync, Inc. “Our platform is changing the way students get involved and quantifying the value of Student Affairs departments on every campus that partners with us.”
Based in Dallas, Texas, OrgSync has partnered with over 250 campuses across 43 of the 50 United States and has an international presence in Canada, Australia, and Qatar. The Company has seen exponential growth in its user base since its founding in 2007. In August 2011, OrgSync announced it had reached 500,000 users.
The platform makes it easier for college students to get involved and document their co-curricular activities on campus, keeping them more engaged and connected to their campus and community. Both 2-year and 4-year public and private institutions are witnessing the value of getting students involved and keeping them active while in school, including career and community colleges.
“OrgSync is really driving student involvement on campus and making organization management easier. The result is a lot of students are more active and engaged,” said Eric Mullen, Director of Student Life and Leadership at Grand Rapids Community College.
OrgSync, which began in 2007 with a focus on student organization management, now offers a complete campus-wide solution set. The Company expects its rapid user growth to continue as more campuses join and new departments transition their day-to-day processes to OrgSync. Residence Life, Campus Recreation, and Orientation offices are just a few of the new departments beginning to expand their usage of OrgSync.
OrgSync provides a Campus Engagement Network that connects students with organizations, programs, and departments on campus. The company's cloud-hosted, software-as-a-service platform is built using the latest technologies that create an online community for colleges and universities to improve communication, information sharing, and collaboration. The platform streamlines day-to-day operations, reduces paper usage, increases student engagement, and tracks all co-curricular involvement data. Campuses can leverage the data collected in OrgSync to assess the impact of student involvement and co-curricular programming on overall student success and retention.
